EPS Thick Wall — maximum insulation for long transports

EPS boxes with a thick wall (40mm+) offer maximum insulation performance. Suitable for long transports, strictly controlled cold chain and shipments that are in transit for several days. The extra wall thickness means significantly longer cooling time with the same number of cooling elements.

When thick wall?

For air freight, international road freight, pharma distribution and shipments of 48+ hours. Slightly more expensive per box, but the certainty of temperature control is essential for valuable cargo.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a thick wall maintain temperature?
With the correct configuration of gel packs, 48–72 hours. With gel packs in a thick-walled EPS box, below 0°C for up to 30 hours and below 8°C for up to 48 hours.
Much more expensive than thin-walled?
20–30% more expensive per box. For long-distance transport and valuable cargo, absolutely worth it.
With or without drain holes?
Both variants available.
