The 6-layer insulated liner 110 cm × 70 cm, also known as an isothermal bag, thermal bag or shipping cool bag, has been developed for shipments that require both extra insulation and additional length. This thermal shipping bag is often used when products need chilled shipping for longer periods and require more space inside the packaging. Think of larger orders or long products that do not fit efficiently into smaller insulating bags. In practice, the products are placed in the insulated liner and the liner is then packed inside a cardboard box. This structure provides stable and reliable cold chain packaging suitable for longer transit times and more challenging conditions within the cold chain.Extra insulation for more demanding applications
This isothermal bag is made up of six insulating layers, including metalized PET film and additional insulation layers. Thanks to this multi-layer construction, external heat is slowed down more effectively than with standard cool bags. This helps maintain a more even temperature inside the packaging during chilled shipping. In terms of insulation level, this 6-layer thermal packaging is comparable to a thick-walled Polystyrene Box. At the same time, the bag offers greater flexibility in use, is a strong alternative to EPS and takes up less space during storage.Use with gel packs
For optimal performance, this insulated liner is always used in combination with gel packs. The gel packs are placed on top of the products so that the cold can spread from top to bottom. It is important that the isothermal bag is well filled and that as little air as possible remains inside the packaging. The number of gel packs depends on factors such as shipping time, product contents and ambient temperature. Because this varies by situation, many customers choose to take a test-based approach or request advice.Common applications
