This 6-layer insulated bag measuring 70 cm × 40 cm has been developed for situations where standard insulation is no longer enough. This version is used when products need to stay chilled or frozen for longer, for example at higher outdoor temperatures or with longer shipping times. In practice, the products go into the insulated bag, and the bag is then placed in a cardboard box. Thanks to the extra insulation layers, this bag offers clearly more protection against temperature fluctuations than the standard versions. This makes the 6-layer insulated bag suitable for food shipments where reliability matters more than flexibility alone.What makes a 6-layer insulated bag different?
The 6-layer insulated bag is built up from several layers of insulating material, including metalized PET film and additional insulation layers. This construction gives a considerably higher insulation value and better resistance to external heat. In terms of performance, this insulated bag compares well with a thick-walled EPS box. The difference lies mainly in flexibility: the bag takes up less storage space and is easier to work into existing packing processes.Use in combination with gel packs
For optimal performance, this 6-layer insulated bag is always used in combination with gel packs. The gel packs are placed on top of the products in the bag so that the cold can spread from top to bottom. It is important that the bag is well filled and that as little air as possible is left in the package. The number of gel packs and the exact configuration depend on factors such as the required transit time and the ambient temperature.
