Which cargo is a Euro pallet cover for?
An insulated air cargo cover for Euro pallets of this type was developed for air freight and is also used in pharmaceutical logistics and in the food industry. About 95% of our covers go by air, on ULD and pallet shipments. These are mostly perishable shipments: vegetables and fruit, flowers and plants, fish and meat. Medicines and vaccines also travel under a cover like this.
How it works is simple. The reflective outer layer keeps out radiant heat and the insulating inner layer keeps the cold in the load. That matters because during loading and unloading on the apron, cargo is often unprotected in the sun or in the cold. That is where the temperature peaks arise that bring a shipment out of specification. Note that this is not a plastic pallet cover against rain or dust, but an insulating cover against temperature.

Single or double layer, and the base of the pallet
For the Euro pallet the cover exists in a single and in a double layer version, both 120 x 80 x 150 cm. The double layer version is described for air freight and cooled export shipments. What a cover does not do
A thermal pallet cover works passively. It does not cool, but slows down temperature change. You can combine the cover with cooling elements or ice packs. How long the load stays stable depends on the starting temperature, the duration of transport, the outside temperature and how tightly the cover closes. Frequently asked questions about Euro pallet covers
Does the insulated pallet cover for Euro pallets also fit over a block pallet?
No. The cover of 120 x 80 x 150 cm is made for the Euro pallet. For a block pallet of 120 x 100 cm there is a cover of its own, 120 x 100 x 150 cm.
Can I use the Euro pallet cover several times?
Yes. The cover is made from sturdy materials for long-term use, unlike shrink wrap for single use.
